Mong Cai City (Quang Ninh) is emerging as a popular summer destination for tourists in 2025.

Vibrant Tourism Activities

Mong Cai City has announced the recreational and entertainment area in Zone 2 (without investment construction projects) at Tra Co Beach.

The city is actively developing community tourism products, particularly in highland communes such as Hai Son and Bac Son. Visitors can immerse themselves in unique cultural experiences, participate in traditional cultural festivals, and visit the Po Hen National Historical Relic and the eco-tourism site "Valley of Love."

With its long coastline and rich natural landscapes, the city is also developing eco-tourism and luxury resorts in Tra Co, Binh Ngoc, Vinh Thuc, and Vinh Trung. Tourists can enjoy the tranquil atmosphere, swim at Tra Co Beach, and participate in unique and exciting water sports.

Cross-Border Cycling Event

Mong Cai City (Vietnam) has partnered with Dongxing City (China) to organize the first Cross-Border Cycling Race in 2025.

A Unique Culinary Experience

Mong Cai’s cuisine reflects the fusion of Vietnamese and Chinese cultures, offering visitors unique dishes such as Mong Cai pork, Vietnamese pho, Peking duck, goat hotpot, mixed seafood porridge, and various grilled dishes. Additionally, OCOP products such as shrimp meat, crab meat, and dried fish are ideal souvenirs.

A Blend of Pristine Nature and Modern City Life

Mong Cai not only stands out for its unspoiled natural beauty but also for its vibrant modern city life with a wide range of entertainment activities. Tourists can enjoy a city tour at night by electric car, savor street food, and participate in recreational activities in areas such as the pedestrian street, riverside tourist streets along the Ka Long River, and Sa Vi.

Enhancing Tourism Services

Mr. Vu Tuan Anh, Head of the Department of Culture, Science, and Information of Mong Cai City, stated that to meet the increasing tourism demand during the summer, the city has meticulously prepared infrastructure, human resources, and essential conditions to serve both domestic and international visitors.

Accommodation, dining, and shopping facilities in the city have been instructed to prepare thoroughly to serve tourists while strictly complying with regulations on product quality, registration, price listing, fire prevention, and food safety.

The city currently has over 200 accommodation establishments, including 22 hotels ranging from 1 to 5 stars, offering nearly 7,000 high-quality rooms. The city focuses on enhancing service quality to ensure the best experiences for visitors.

Cultural and Tourism Events

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, as well as International Workers' Day on May 1, 2025, the city organized dozens of cultural, artistic, sports, and tourism events, attracting both locals and tourists.

Developing New Tourism Products

The city continues to develop new tourism products to create unique experiences, such as:

- Expanding Tra Co Beach towards Con Mang, Ben Ben Beach (Vinh Trung), Dau Dong Beach (Vinh Thuc), and Da Den Beach (Binh Ngoc).

- High-end resort tourism at Tra Co Long Beach.

- Health care and recreational services at Vinhomes Golden Avenue Mong Cai.

- Border river tourism on the Bac Luan River.

Impressive Tourism Growth

In the first four months of 2025, Mong Cai welcomed over 1.3 million visitors, an increase of 6% compared to the same period in 2024. Revenue from services and tourism exceeded VND 3,000 billion, a growth of 16% compared to the same period last year.
