A Dazzling New Show Inside the Cave: “In Search of the Dragon Pearl” Premieres in Quang Ninh

On June 4, 2025, the city of Cam Pha (Quang Ninh Province) officially launched the highly anticipated multimedia cave performance and dining experience, “In Search of the Dragon Pearl”, at the spectacular Ngoc Rong Cave (also known as Bat Cave), part of the Vung Duc Historical and Scenic Site. Combining cutting-edge technology, performing arts, and local gastronomy, the show is set to be a highlight of this summer’s tourism season in Quang Ninh.

A Legendary Tale Comes Alive in a Magical Setting

Organized by APC Corporation in collaboration with Ngoc Rong Cave Co., Ltd., the show is the first of its kind in Vietnam to be staged entirely within a cave. “In Search of the Dragon Pearl” transports audiences on an emotional journey inspired by the legend of the Dragon Mother and the mystical Pearl, symbolizing the harmony between humans and nature.

The storyline reimagines the myth of the descending dragons in the Bai Tu Long and Ha Long Bay region, bringing to life themes of bravery, hope, and cultural identity. Through contemporary dance, circus arts, and immersive visual effects, visitors are taken deep into a fantastical realm filled with history and wonder.

An Artistic Fusion of Nature and Innovation

Inside the stunning Ngoc Rong Cave, each scene unfolds like a living painting. The interplay of light, sound, and movement creates an experience that stimulates all senses. The show features contributions from some of Vietnam’s most respected performing artists and creative advisors. Visitors can expect a seamless fusion of traditional performance with modern multimedia, offering a powerful and deeply cultural spectacle.

More Than Just a Show – A Feast for All Senses

Guests will also enjoy a premium culinary experience, with a fine-dining menu showcasing fresh, local ingredients from Quang Ninh. Signature dishes include hand-pounded Cô Tô squid cakes, Tiên Yên chicken, grilled seafood, and traditional specialties like bánh gật gù and thịt kho nhục — all served in the ethereal ambiance of the cave, accompanied by soft, melodic music.

A New Cultural Landmark in Quang Ninh

As part of the province’s initiative to diversify tourism products, “In Search of the Dragon Pearl” is expected to turn Ngoc Rong Cave into a must-visit cultural destination. The show will help elevate the value of heritage sites, enrich tourist experiences, and support Quang Ninh’s ambitious goal of attracting 20 million visitors and achieving over 14% economic growth in 2025 and beyond.

From now until June 9, the show is open free of charge to local residents of Quang Ninh and nearby areas. Starting June 10, it will officially welcome ticketed guests for both the performance and the dining experience.
